A signals Frequency is how many times it repeats itself per second. A signals period is the actual time the signal takes to repeat itself. The period is found by dividing one by the signals frequency (Period = 1 / Frequency)
Example
A signal with a frequency of 5 Hz will repeat 5 times per second and have a period of 0.2 seconds.
