Due to low voltage output the Toyota 2GR-FE Cam sensor often requires an external 2.2K pull-up resistor to be connected between +5V and the sensors output. Set the ECUs internal pull-up resistor to OFF.

 

 

 

Cam Position Sensor connected to Trigger or Digital Input (VVT)

If the 2GR-FE Cam Position Sensor is connected to a Trigger or Digital Input use a 2.2k pull-up resistor as shown in the diagram below.
