Please read this document carefully. It outlines new features and fixes for all ECU Firmware versions. Make sure you understand these changes and take the necessary steps to check and set up all new features.

 

Read changes for ALL newer firmware versions than the ECU currently has, not just the latest version.

 

DO NOT attempt a Firmware Upgrade without allowing adequate time to resolve any issues that may arise.

 

By installing firmware into the ECU YOU AGREE IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check all settings, ECU functions and tuning are correct after the firmware update.

Important Note

·Changing firmware versions may cause an "ECU is in Safe Mode" warning after power is cycled. This is normal and OK. Do as the message instructs and perform a store. Next time the ECUs power is cycled this message will be gone.

·Added a variety of fuel consumption runtime values.

·Added E-Throttle error accumulators (TPS Main/Sub, APS Main/Sub, TPS/Target).

·E-Throttle fault codes now display in Setup Mode as well but don't shut down the E-Throttle in setup mode.

·Added Fuel trim settings to limits.

·Improved how limits deal with fuel and ignition trims (fuel and ignition trims when multiple limits turning on and off).

·Fixed Tacho correction for Rotary and 2 Stroke engines. IF UPDATING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION AND USING THE TACHO OUTPUT FUNCTION ON A ROTARY OR TWO STROKE ENGINE YOU WILL NEED TO CHANGE YOUR MULTI VALUE.

·Changed Speedo Max Freq to Max Speed, Changed Speedo Offset from Hz to Speed units. IF UPDATING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK THE MAX SPEED AND SPEEDO OFFSET SETTINGS.

·Changed Staged accel fuel setup, now has a single value to setup. IF UPDATING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION AND USING STAGED FUEL YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK THE STAGED ACCEL SETTING.

·Added some new Bosch pressure and temperature sensor calibrations.

·Improved RPM/Speed gear calibration 'stable' condition definition.

·Changed Overrun Fuel Cut to turn off during Overrun Up Shifts and Overrun Down Shifts.

·Added OBD2 Functionality

·Added KMS Display, KMS UEGO, KMS EGT, DIY Auto Tune EGT and Microtech LTC Dash built in CAN streams.

·Added VW Mk5 Golf, Vauxhall Astra and Polaris RZR built in CAN modes.

·Added Latch settings for CAN DI inputs, they are located in Digital Inputs > CAN DI Latches.

·Added 16 CAN Auxiliaries which can be used for both switched and PWM functions (Act the same as an other Auxiliary Outputs but don't have a physical pin).

·Added voltage compensation On/Off settings to VVT, Boost and Idle Solenoid functions.

·Added Long Term Trim functionality to Closed Loop Lambda Auto Mode, refer here for information on how it works,

·Increased Memo Size significantly to 56k of Unicode. The memo text can be found using by pressing ctrl + M and is stored as part of the basemap.

·Improved Open Loop Boost Status, it now displays active lockouts.

·Improved CAN start up to help prevent 350Z Traction Control lights.

·Improved large tooth count trigger patterns noise resilience (This includes Nissan 360 Opto).

·Changed Motec E888 CAN Analog multiplier by a factor of 1000. IF USING THIS CAN MODE YOU WILL NEED TO ADJUST YOUR CALIBRATIONS TO SUIT.

·Changed GP Pressure resolution form 0.1 to 0.2kPa and increased the Maximum value to 13000kPa.

·Changed CAN Analog displayed decimal places from 1 to 3.

·Made 3 Wire Idle Solenoid leave both pins floating when engine off regardless of the Active State set.

Note: On upgrade to this firmware from an older firmware the ECU Statistics will be cleared.

·Added TGV functionality.

·Increased max rpm limit value to 20,000rpm

·Made Idle Solenoids (2 and 3 wire) to be off when the engine is off.

·Made Idle Stepper start homing only once the engine is off.

·Changed Ignition outputs to output high during stall if spark edge is rising.

·Stopped over/underflow errors from causing check engine lights and PCLink warnings.

·Made knock TPS Delta, CLL TPS delta and CLL MAP Delta lockouts inactive when set to 0.

·Changed Accel Fuel Sens from a single value to a table. IF UPDATING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION THE ACCEL ENRICHMENT SENS MUST BE SETUP.

·Added Cruise Control (available on Xtreme, Fury and Plug In ECUs).

·Added VANOS functionality to the VVT control.

·Added Ethanol Clamp for high injector Duty cycles.

·Smoothed Idle Ignition to Ignition table transient.

·Smoothed EThrottle idle to EThrottle target transition, it is recommended to have a target of 0% TPS when APS is at 0%.

·Added a PID Function for viewing the PID values of different control loops in real time.

·Added Startup Lockout when using just Ignition Idle (no Idle actuator), uses Ignition Idle Target during engine start.

·Removed the need for an AC Clutch output to be set (means it can work via CAN without having an output set).

·Added an Exhaust Pressure input and Lambda compensation based on that exhaust pressure when it is setup.

·Added a Configurable MAP input filter.

·Added selectable Lambda Source to Closed Loop Lambda (CLL) and improved several other parts of CLL. IF UPDATING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION AND USING CLL THE SOURCES WILL NEED TO BE SETUP CORRECTLY
