Tables/Maps can be exported and imported (saved and loaded) separately from the rest of the .pclx file (PCLink ECU configuration file). This allows tables/maps to be copied from different ECUs without having to change all other configuration settings.

Exported tables/maps are saved as .pclx files and can be opened in PCLink for viewing, editing and saving as normal.

This is an extremely useful feature as it allows table/maps to be stored in archives. A good example is to export injector dead time tables after each tune and name them by injector part number. This would allow the accumulation of a library of injector dead times that can be imported when required rather than manually entering each value.

Note: Not all tables can be exported or imported nicely, tables with fixed axis variables and fixed axis values won't necessarily export nicely due to their fixed format and so some extra setup may be needed. In these cases the data from in the table can still be copied but the axes will need to be setup manually. This can be commonly encountered when trying to copy G4+ tables into G4X.

Exporting a Table to a File

Connect to a Link ECU or open a previously saved .pclx file. Right click on any table/map and select Import/Export, then Export to File. You will be prompted to enter the file name. It is recommended to enter a meaningful filename such as "My EVO - Fuel Map Only" to avoid confusion with the complete .pclx file
