PCLink allows the user to create, modify and save layouts. The layouts can be created, loaded and saved under the Layouts drop down menu.

Each layout consists of pages, these can be created, renamed and deleted under the Layouts drop down menu. Several pages can be created for each layout file. Each page contains several views. Views are of several types, these range from tables, settings, and runtime values to gauges and 3D surface plots.

Two layouts can be open at any one given time, this is controlled by the Display Mode.

·Creating a layout is simple, select Layout > New Layout in the main drop down menu. The existing layout will be saved and an empty layout created.

·Loading a layout is simple, select Layout > Load Layout in the main drop down menu. The existing layout will be saved, you will be prompted with a window to locate the layout file you wish to load. Select the layout file and click Open.

·By default the layout is saved every time PCLink is closed.

·If you wish to save a layout to a specific file name, selected Layout > Save Layout As.... You will be prompted with a dialog to choose a file name and a location, once you are ready to save, click Save.

The display mode controls the current layout. There are two display modes available; 'ECU' and 'Log Analysis'. Each display mode has its own layout file, these are saved and named separately.

The two display modes can be toggled between using the 'Display Mode' drop down menu. This feature is useful for quickly alternating between a logging layout and a tuning layout.
