The logging component of PCLink includes several log view types, these include:

·Navigator

·Time Plot

·XY Plot

·Histogram

·Logged Values List

·Parameter List

·Statistics List

As many of each view can be created at any one time. Each view shares a common time pointer, called the Cursor. Each view also has the ability (if enabled) to share a common time range. Views are generally used in combination to provide the most information.

Time Pointer / Cursor

There is a time pointer (or cursor) representing a common time among all views. This allows you to analyse a specific time event in one view, while other views provide supporting information of the same event.

Note: The Time Plot is the best view to control the time pointer as it provides a visual overview of the entire log. Click to drag the cursor from left to right, or use arrow keys. Move the cursor in the time plot, watch the logged value list cursor move.

Common Time Range

There is a common time range between views. This allows you to zoom in on a section of the log in one view, and the other views automatically adjust to operate over this time range as well. Most views have a property to enable/disable this common time range as in some conditions it is undesirable.
